12/28/11 A team from the Pac-10 conference and the Big 12 conference will square off in the 33rd annual Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl.
The game kicks off on Wednesday, December 28th at Qualcomm Stadium, and will air nationally on ESPN as well as being broadcast on ESPN Radio Network.
Tickets may be purchased in person at the Holiday Bowl ticket office at Qualcomm Stadium, Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, over the phone at 619-283-5808, or on-line. On-line purchases, however, are through Ticketmaster and do not include membership benefits.
Stadium Parking is $15 for cars and $45 for RV's. If you decide to drive, plan to come early as the parking lot surrounding the stadium fills quickly due to the numerous tailgate parties and the halftime show fireworks. The city of San Diego controls the stadium parking lot and parking fees for the Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl are $15 for cars and $45 for RV's (vehicles 20’ and over). You must tailgate only in your designated parking space. Because of limited total space, fans are encouraged to carpool, use the San Diego Trolley or bus transportation.
VIP Preferred Parking is $50 and is located in Lot C/1 and D/1 just inside the main entrance from Mission Village Drive, in a secured and private area surrounded by its own perimeter fence. This area features a dedicated driving lane for entrance and exit from the stadium parking lot. The number of parking spaces in the VIP Preferred Parking area is limited and will be sold on a first come, first served basis. All orders must be received by December 7.
For easy transportation to Qualcomm Stadium, the Port of San Diego Big Bay Balloon Parade and most major visitor attractions in San Diego, take the buses and trolleys. The San Diego Trolley's Green and Special Event Lines, with connections to Mission Valley, downtown and East County stops just steps away from Gate K at Qualcomm Stadium and is a great alternative to driving to the game.

San Diego County Credit Union's 7th annual pre-Christmas holiday game, the Poinsettia Bowl, will be played December 21, 2011 at Qualcomm Stadium in Mission Valley by teams from the Mountain West Conference (MWC) and Western Athletic Conference (WAC). Last year's 2010 Poinsettia Bowl featured a 35-14 San Diego State Aztecs victory over the Navy Midshipmen in front of a record 48,049 fans and earned a 2.6 national television rating on ESPN. The MWC boasts a 5-1 win record during the games' six years in existence. Future Poinsettia Bowl opponents for the MWC include Brigham Young University in 2012 and Army in 2013. Negotiations are also in the works to bring the Navy Midshipmen back to San Diego for the 2014 game.
