We get a lot of special guests here at the Bay Inn and Suites SeaWorld: Families coming to explore San Diego’s world famous Zoo, SeaWorld, and the beaches; California residents enjoying a trek down south; visitors from Arizona and Nevada escaping the desert heat; MCRD graduates and their proud families; and travelers from all over the world excited to experience beautiful San Diego!

This past week we received a very special thank you note from a family who stayed with us for several days. A Military couple with a small child, this family needed a quiet retreat while getting situated in a new city. Our guest services and housekeeping teams were at the ready each day for special requests from an energetic daughter and weary parents. We were so touched when this family presented us with a colorful, hand-written Thank You note at the end of their stay expressing their thanks for our service to them. Service to our guests is our top priority; we strive to make each stay a great one. We are always so happy to hear that we’ve helped make our guests experience in San Diego special.

Over the weekend we hosted several young Marines from Camp Pendleton on their ways home to their families and their first Christmas since enlisting. We were honored to host these brave young men and women, many of whom will be deployed to Afghanistan in the coming months. As part of our commitment to serving those who serve us, we have always offered special discounted rates for all Military personnel and their families - it is our thank you for the sacrifice they make for our country. We look forward to including a return guest rate for these Marines who stayed with us this weekend when they and their families come back to see us again.

All of our guests are special and we appreciate each one of them. For those of you who have stayed with us before, thank you for choosing us, we hope to host you again soon. And for those of you we have yet to meet, we look forward having you as our guest.

Our Favorite Ways to Celebrate the Holidays in San Diego

Shamu shares his stage weekends in December with “SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration.” This holiday special is a tribute to the season including live music, Christmas trees, Seals acting silly, Dogs entertaining, and carolers spreading merriment. And if those shows don’t invoke holiday cheer, SeaWorld San Diego expands the holiday celebration with Ice Skating, the Christmas Tree of Lights, and the opportunity to meet Santa in his festive cottage! Don’t Miss the Show at the San Diego Sports Arena!

It only makes sense that the San Diego Sports Arena houses the biggest holiday show in San Diego. I mean, what is Christmas without the Rockettes? The San Diego Sports Arena will be featuring the legendary Christmas Spectacular in December, with every bell and whistle straight from Radio City Music Hall. Enjoy the splendor of the holiday and your chance to see Santa arrive on his sleigh.
